Practice Policies during the COVID-19 Pandemic
These policies are in effect at Bayview Medical until further notice – and are in line with the national Public Health guidelines.
- COVID vaccine appointments must be made online via our website. Please do not call the Surgery.
- All other medical appointments must be made in advance by phone
- It may be possible to conduct a telephone or video consultation, depending on the nature of the problem
- Only two patients are allowed in the Reception Area at any time
- Please use the hand sanitizer that is located just inside the Reception door as you enter the surgery
Please also note the following important points.
- All childhood immunisations are taking place as scheduled
- Antenatal appointments are taking place as near to the scheduled date as possible.
- Blood and pathology tests which are essential are taking place. Please phone us to check if you are not sure about tests due for yourself.
- We are continuing to provide normal medical care. Please just phone us to check if you should be seen in the Surgery or whether your concern can be addressed by phone.
- If we feel it is in your best interest to be seen in the Surgery, then you will be offered an appointment. The medical staff will be wearing personal protective equipment to reduce any risk of transmission of infection between us.
We hope that these strategies will protect us all from exposure to infection and we would like to reassure you that your healthcare needs will always be addressed comprehensively, carefully and safely.
